Snowy Colorado Roads (Photos of Steve Garufi's Driving Journey In Snow - April 17, 2009)

	Much of the mountain regions of Colorado received significant amounts of snowfall on Friday, April 17, 2009. I was in Montrose, CO on this particular morning, and this photo gallery includes all photos taken with my cell phone. Adjacent photo: Snow clings to tree branches. (My morning view from my motel room in Montrose, CO.)
	The remainder of these photos were taken from my car. It took me approximately four hours to drive from Montrose, CO to Buena Vista, CO.
	The snow was coming down really hard at this particular point. I pulled over to hold my cell phone as steadily as possible.
	Continuing on Highway 50 eastbound in Gunnison County.
	Snow scenery as I approached Blue Mesa Reservoir and the exit for the north rim of Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.
	So pretty!
	Three photos as I traveled uphill on the east side of Monarch Pass. I'd like to consider myself a very experienced Colorado driver, but I will admit there were a few unnerving spots climbing up this pass.

	The turnoff for Old Monarch Pass was completely snowed in.
